Senator Grove Announces Critical Legislation to Go After Criminals Convicted of Human Trafficking Offenses
Senator Shannon Grove (R-Bakersfield) has partnered with Kern County District Attorney Cynthia Zimmer to announce critical legislation to protect victims of sex and human trafficking crimes. Currently, human trafficking is not defined as a serious or violent felony under California law. Senate Bill 1042 would add human trafficking to those lists, which would make the crime a strike under the Three Strikes law.
