Senate Republican Leader Grove Introduces Resolution Supporting Free Trade with America's Continental Partners

SACRAMENTO – Senate Republican Leader Shannon Grove (R-Bakersfield) recently introduced Senate Joint Resolution 12 (SJR 12) which seeks to urge support for the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) to benefit our farmers, ranchers, and agribusinesses.

“Agriculture is the foundation of the Golden State. Our farmers face uncertainty and deserve our support. This modernized trade agreement will help provide security to our farmers.

“California’s two largest trading partners are Canada and Mexico. I urge the State Senate to support SJR 12 and Congress to support the USMCA which modernizes trade with our two major trading partners, creates a level playing field for American workers, benefits agriculture, and helps protect small and medium-sized businesses,” said Senate Republican Leader Shannon Grove.

Senator Grove published an op-ed on the USMCA in The Fresno Bee. You can read the op-ed here.
