Senator Shannon Grove (R-Bakersfield) is hosting a donation drive to benefit the Bakersfield Pregnancy Center. The donation drive started on Wednesday, November 3rd and will end on Thursday, November 18th. The new items that are needed include: diapers, formula, socks, onesies and beanies. All of the donated items will be brought to the Bakersfield Pregnancy Center on November 19th.
The Bakersfield Pregnancy Center was founded in 1985 and has provided pregnancy-related services to over 40,000 clients and their families. The center has partnered with Kern County churches, community agencies, health care providers and individuals to meet the needs of people facing pregnancy-related concerns for the last 30 years.
“The Bakersfield Pregnancy Center is a blessing to the community and this drive is an opportunity to make a difference in a new mother and child's life,” said Senator Grove. “There are families having a hard time right now and giving simple items like diapers and formula can give them hope.”
Donations can be dropped-off or shipped to Senator Grove’s office located at 5701 Truxtun Ave. Suite 150, Bakersfield, CA 93309. Senator Grove’s office will accept donations Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. until November 18th.
