Senator Shannon Grove is proud to announce the return of her Annual Backpack Drive, expanding district-wide in 2026 to support children and families across Kern, Fresno, and Tulare Counties.
From June 22 through July 31, 2026, community members are encouraged to donate new backpacks that will be distributed through local nonprofit partners serving children in need throughout Senate District 12.
This year’s Backpack Drive will benefit:
Safe Haven Kids’ League, West Side Recreation and Park District, and Skye’s the Limit in Kern County
Fresno Mission in Fresno County
Visalia Rescue Mission and Mt. Whitney High School in Tulare County
“Every child deserves to start the school year feeling prepared, confident, and ready to succeed,” said Senator Shannon Grove. “Our communities are always incredibly generous, and I am excited to expand this effort across all three counties in Senate District 12. Together, we can help ensure local students have the tools they need for a great school year!”
New backpacks may be dropped off at any of the following locations.
