Senator Shannon Grove’s District-Wide Backpack Drive

Senator Shannon Grove’s Annual Backpack Drive is back and expanding district-wide in 2026 to support children and families across Kern, Fresno, and Tulare Counties. 

From June 22nd through July 31st, community members are encouraged to donate new backpacks to help local students start the school year prepared, confident, and ready to succeed. 

This year’s Backpack Drive will support: 

Kern County: 

• Safe Haven Kids’ League

• West Side Recreation and Park District

• Skye’s the Limit

Fresno County:

• Fresno Mission

Tulare County:

• Visalia Rescue Mission

• Mt. Whitney High School
