Baskets, Bunnies & Blessings Brings Easter Joy, Resources, and Community Support to Foster and At-Risk Youth in Bakersfield

Senator Shannon Grove and CityServe Network invite families to celebrate the season of hope and renewal at Baskets, Bunnies & Blessings, a fun and family friendly Easter resource event designed to support foster and at-risk youth, as well as families in need throughout the Bakersfield community.

The indoor, walk-through event will take place on Saturday, March 14th, 2026 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at CityServe Network, located at 3201 F Street, Bakersfield, CA 93301.

Children attending the event will receive an Easter basket upon arrival and will have the opportunity to visit a variety of community partner booths, filling their baskets with fun treats and goodies. Participants will also have the chance to meet the Easter Bunny and take a photo. In addition to the festive activities, families will be able to connect directly with local organizations offering valuable resources. Event partners will also have resources for teens approaching the age of aging out of the foster care system, tailored to help them prepare for the next chapter of their lives.

“This event is really about loving on kids and families and reminding them that they are not alone,” said Senator Shannon Grove. “As a believer in Jesus Christ, Easter is a time to celebrate that He is risen, bringing hope, new life, and the promise that no one is forgotten or beyond His love. It is a blessing to see our community come together to bring joy, share resources, and show these families that they are seen, valued, and loved.”

The event is free, but registration is highly encouraged, as supplies are limited and available while they last. Families can register in advance at bit.ly/BasketsBunniesBlessings.
