USMCA Trade Agreement Is Critical for California Farmers

SACRAMENTO – Senate Republican Leader Shannon Grove (R-Bakersfield) released the following statement about the United States-Mexico-Canada (USMCA) Trade which officially begins today:

“The Central Valley is home to the top three agricultural producing counties in the nation and this modern trade agreement is our country’s commitment to our hardworking farmers, farm workers, and agribusinesses. President Trump’s leadership and persistence made this historic agreement a reality and I was proud to be there representing our Valley when he signed it into law,” said Senate Republican Leader Shannon Grove.

The USMCA trade agreement also includes new protections for intellectual property, copyright, collective bargaining and environmental issues.

Leader Grove attended the historic signing of the USMCA on January 29th in Washington D.C.
